I have been looking for a new RDTA for a while but they have all been out of my price range (I am the Skint Vaper), then I spotted this. I know RDTA’s aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, in fact I don’t come across positivity in the vaping scene very often when it comes to RDTA’s. On paper the RDTA actually makes a lot of sense and when I first got into rebuildables I thought the RDTA was a brilliant idea. I have never been keen on dripping, I do fancy trying a squonk but they are quite expensive for a half decent squonk kit and I haven’t took the leap yet. The RDTA seems like its for vapers like me, its not as expensive as a squonk and in theory you should be getting the benefits of a RDA and an RTA in one. Mfirst and only RDTA was the OBS Frost…
Between my OBS Engine and OBS Frost I learned that the RDTA wasn’t all it was claiming to be. Don’t get me wrong I loved my Frost and still do, it just so happens I put a new build into it today and have been using it all night. I know as I have only tried one RDTA I am far from an experienced expert on the subject but just using an RDTA was enough to tell me that the theory doesn’t translate into practice. It doesn’t feel like I’m using an RDA with a tank stuck on the bottom however saying that I love the simplicity of an RDTA, I enjoy being able to pull the top off easily to see how my build is doing. I also think you get good flavour and clouds with an RDTA that is on par with an RTA but not quite an RDA. Due to the ease of using an RDTA and the fact its on the same level as an RTA I have a very soft spot for RDTA’s. No matter what negativity I hear about them they still appeal to me a lot and if they were on the same price scale as RTA’s I would have a lot more RDTA’s.
I spotted the IJOY Combo RDTA on Ecigone today while browsing the clearance sections of my favourite sites, at £9.99 I thought this could potentially be my next RDTA so I did my usual and watched from youtube reviews. I liked the look of the tank and the reviews were all quite good, but glancing through the comments I noticed a lot of people complaining about leaking. I also liked the idea of this RDTA having a lot of different decks as well as the ability to use it as an RDA however the tank only comes with 2 decks and you need to buy the RDA converter separately. If this was just released then I may have still considered it but the extra cost of the additional components and the fact this was an old RDTA really put me off the IJOY Combo. With it being released so long ago I wasn’t too hopeful of the availability of the additional parts. So moving onto another site scrolling through the sales I spotted the Geekvape Peerless RDTA on the Rainbow Vapes website for £9.99, checked out the Youtube reviews and I liked the look of this tank. The bonus for me was I could get this on Amazon, the reason I prefer to buy my stuff from Amazon is because its super fast tracked delivery if you have prime and you get no questions asked super simple returns if needed. Its not the first time I have contacted a company after buying dodgy products for them to ask you for the full report with pictures ect… Thats all good and I can understand why they do that but lets face it, its a fucking hassle. I paid £14.99 for this tank on Amazon which would have worked out about the same after shipping from the Rainbow Vapes site.
So that is it, I have a new RDTA on the way and like most vapers on the planet this is vapemail I am looking forward to. I will of course post my review after taking it for a test drive. It seems I have bought the last one on Amazon but its still available on Rainbow Vapes.
